TBYTe 8 SeriesThe TBYTe 8 Series is a data backup and archiving solution for businesses that push a large amount of data traffic through their IT infrastructure for computer data backup and recovery. The TBYTe 8 Series data backup and archiving solution allows for 50 terabytes of data to be nearline accessible on Blu-ray optical media, with up to 42 terabytes (RAW) of data on online hard drives. Customers can use the TeraStack® Solution data storage system within their existing infrastructure to provide an Active Archive™ of data assets and have them accessible within 30 to 60 seconds if the files are nearline, faster if they are online.
TeraStack 6.25The individual TeraStack® is the cornerstone of the TeraStack® Solution. Each TeraStack® is loaded with 125 next generation Blu-ray optical discs. Blu-ray media is rated at a 50 year lifespan for rewritable media and 100 years for write once media. With this increased life span, files will not be lost as they were in the past due to hard drive crashes or tape drive failures enhancing business continuity management. TeraStacks can also be taken out of a machine for offline data storage that is energy passive or placed into another machine for instant accessibility.
