The TeraStack^® is factory loaded with 125 industry standard non-proprietary 120 millimeter 50 gigabyte Blu-ray discs. With Hie Electronics' hierarchical storage management software, a single TeraStack^® acts as a structured volume of data. This data storage technology is hot swappable, transferable, and instantly accessible for online and nearline data storage. All catalog information is saved on each disc and within an internal memory cartridge. No human contact on individual discs is necessary. The TeraStack^® indexes every file that is burned to Blu-ray and stays with that particular TeraStack^® forever.

• Data Integrity: Write once Blu-ray discs are rated for 100 years and re-writable discs are rated for 50 years.
• Energy Consumption: Blu-ray discs require no energy except when data is being archived or restored. When discs are resting inside the TBYTe^®, they become energy passive; therefore, decreasing your total operational cost.
• Scalable Storage: TeraStacks can be swapped and transferred to any TBYTe^® without file deterioration. Also, TeraStacks can be removed from the units and placed offline in an office environment for unlimited expansion.
• Universal Data Storage Technology: The mounting system for the TeraStack^® is universal no matter the model TBYTe^® you purchase. Additionally, as Blu-ray disc capacities increase beyond 50 GB of storage capacity, the TeraStack^® will correspondingly increase capacity without changing infrastructure demands in footprint and power consumption.

TeraStacks are hot swappable between machines and easy to remove for offsite/offline data storage. Every TeraStack^® comes with a heavy duty aluminum case to protect the discs from dust, finger prints, and scratching. this provides for an ideal way to accomplish business continuity disaster recovery planning requirements.
