Patrick A. Humm, P.E.
President
Mr. Humm is the Chairman and President of Hie Electronics, innovator and manufacturer of the TeraStack
® Solution, a green data storage product. Mr. Humm manages all aspects of this private corporation. He is a recognized leader in several aspects of the information systems sector, global project management, business startups and turnarounds, joint venture management, business development, acquisition and divestiture, and business strategy and process development. During a 30-year career at Texas Instruments, Mr. Humm acquired extensive program management and startup experience in the high tech sector with proven accomplishments in the management of complex, worldwide manufacturing operations and systems implementations. He supervised the largest systems reengineering and IT capital expenditure projects in Texas Instruments history as the Worldwide Inventory Director and the Worldwide Manufacturing Information Technology Director. In addition, as MOSM Joint Venture Program Director, Mr. Humm directed monthly supervision of joint venture business plans, commercial partnerships product portfolios, new technology transition, capital expansion plans, and startups, turnarounds, strategy and process development, acquisitions, divestitures and IPO process. Mr. Humm has a BS degree in Engineering Design and Economic Evaluation from The University of Colorado Boulder and an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas. He has also done Extended Executive Education through the McCombs Business School at the University of Texas Austin and the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Philip B. Coup
Director
Mr. Coup is a retired vice president of Texas Instruments, with 30 years in the semiconductor industry. He managed the ASIC, Application Specific Integrated Circuit; VLSI, Very Large Scale Integrated Circuit; and Digital Logic divisions. During the 1990s, Mr. Coup led the reengineering of business processes as part of a transition to becoming a global, digital signal processing solutions company. Currently, Mr. Coup provides consulting for global, high tech companies in the areas of business process transformation, information technology implementation, and business strategy. Mr. Coup holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an M.B.A from the University of Dallas.
David V. Smith
Director
Mr. Smith retired in June 2002 as the founding president of TECH Semiconductor Singapore Pte. Ltd.; a joint venture company between Micron Technology Inc, Canon Inc., and HP Singapore; a manufacturer of 300MM silicon wafers with over 2200 people employed. Prior to that, he worked for Texas Instruments (TI) as Managing Director of TI Singapore and Deputy Worldwide Memory Operations Manager, which included the responsibility for factories located in Singapore, Italy, USA, Korea and Japan with more than 4000 people; Managing Director of TI Malaysia which included Bipolar and Discrete manufacturing operations with a total of 3500 people; and TI Korea Country Manager with responsibility for all of TI's Subcontractor Operations worldwide, which included operations in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. Mr. Smith spent over 24 years in Asia and Southeast Asia. Mr. Smith retired again in April 2008 as the CEO, President and Director of GlobiTech Holding Company in Sherman, Texas. He serves on the Board of FSI, a global supplier of surface conditioning equipment and technology to the world's leading integrated circuit and microelectronics manufacturers. Mr. Smith also serves as the Chairman of the Board of VisionTrust International, a charity helping over 10,500 needy children and orphans in 9 countries worldwide. He has a BA in mathematics from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and an MS in mathematics from East Texas State University, now known as Texas A&M at Commerce.
William E. Johnson III
Director
Founder of William E. Johnson III, P.C., Mr. Johnson is also president of Johnson Timber and Land, a developer of shopping centers and subdivisions. He graduated cum laude from Princeton and earned his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Johnson holds a masters of tax law degree from Southern Methodist University and is a past editor of the Texas Law Review.
Colonel Peter F. Demitry, M.D., M.P.H.
Senior Vice President & Director of Global Health Care Systems, Chief Medical Officer
During the last four years of his distinguished Air Force career, Colonel Demitry served in the roles of Assistant Surgeon General; Director, Medical Modernization; Chief Information Officer (CIO); Chief Technology Officer (CTO); and Assistant Deputy Surgeon General for Science and Technology for the USAF. He currently holds the academic position of Adjunct Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD and has held the role of Visiting Scholar in the College of Engineering at Northeastern University, Boston, MA. He also served as Director, Chief Test Pilot, Advanced Fighter Technology Integration for the AFTI/F-16 and Deputy Director, Operations Officer, Advanced Fighter Technology Integration for the AFTI/F-16. Colonel Demitry received his BS degree with Honors from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO in 1978 and his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD, in 1986.
Michael K. Lynch, Major General USAF (Ret)
Vice President of Sales and Business Development
Major General Lynch retired from the USAF with his last assignment as the Mobilization Assistant to the commander of Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC) Langley Air Force Base, VA. He served four years in the Pentagon in two different positions working for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Air and Space Operations. During his stint in the Air Force Reserve, Gen. Lynch commanded at the Flight, Squadron, Group and Wing level in the Air Force's premier A-10 Thunderbolt II wing. Prior to entering the Air Force Reserve, Gen. Lynch spent over 11 years on active duty, serving in a variety of command and flying assignments, flying the F-4 Phantom II and the F-15 Eagle. Gen. Lynch graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Geography and from Webster University with a Masters in Management.
Larry Giaudrone
Vice President of Manufacturing and Quality Control
Mr. Giaudrone has over 40 years of equipment design, documentation, and engineering experience. His work for Texas Instruments in the design of internal wire bond equipment resulted in numerous process and systems patents. Recently, Mr. Giaudrone spent six years as vice president of engineering and quality control for a Dallas-based firm, managing every aspect of manufacturing and quality. Mr. Giaudrone studied mechanical engineering at Eastern Oklahoma A&M University and the University of Texas at Arlington.
Mark J. Stein
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Stein retired from Texas Instruments in 2009 after a 30 year career. He joined TI as an equipment maintenance technician and moved into engineering after 3 years. Mr. Stein worked as an engineering manager in several of TI's semiconductor facilities and was chosen to head the equipment engineering group for TI's Kilby Center in 1997, managing over 150 engineers and technicians in support of their product development. Mr. Stein moved to integration manager in 2004 at TI's largest factory DMOS6, where he was responsible for coordinating new product development and customer production. He graduated from Texas Technical University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Barbara Burke
Business Coordinator
Mrs. Burke earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of California at Davis. She completed her post-graduate work in Elementary Education and received her teaching credential. She taught both in general classroom settings, at various grade levels, and in specialized science classroom settings for 10 years. In addition to her experience in the field of education, Mrs. Burke has spent over 20 years working in business management positions in the fields of banking, non-profits, marketing and engineering.
Rebecca Noah Poynter
Director of Communications
Ms. Poynter is a Communication Strategist who specializes in establishing positive identities for tech companies, their technologies, and their products. Her 18 years in corporate communications provides Ms. Poynter with an extensive range of expertise in branding, executive communications, media relations and investor relations. Her most recent corporate position was as Director of Public Relations for AT&T Wireless/Cingular. Ms. Poynter has a B.A. in Communications from Texas A&M University and is currently a member of the National Press Club.
