The TBYTe® unit houses the mechanical systems used to store up to 50 terabytes of nearline data. These systems have been engineered by the Hie Electronics team to promote reliability, efficiency, and user convenience. Customers may use the TeraStack® Solution within their existing infrastructure to provide long lasting archives of critical data and/or video assets. This solution is both scalable and extendable and has the ability to reach petabytes of data storage.

The HIE-DVR™ is a 3U server grade video surveillance solution. It is capable of supporting 32 analog channels each at 4CIF 30 frames per second or 64 analog channels each at 2CIF 30 frames per second. With IP cameras, the capabilities are expanded to 64 4CIF channels at 30 frames per second. The Hie-DVR™ supports side by side viewing of analog and IP video streams. The HIE-DVR™ can seamlessly integrate with the TeraStack® Solution or multiple HIE-DVRs can be linked together in a network-based architecture providing scalable storage capacity and channel connectivity, allowing these systems to be accessed and managed remotely from multiple HIE-Client™ workstations.

The TeraStack® Solution is compatible with off-the-self document management, critical backup, medical recording, video surveillance and other software packages. The unique java middleware makes the user interface easy to work with for customers with minimal technical proficiency. The nearline capabilities allow for end users to store up to 50 terabytes of randomly accessible nearline data and the 28 (RAW) terabyte buffer allows for efficient access to recently stored data.
